Reader Zaed M., a resident of Avenue Y near East 28th Street, asked us to pass along this photo of a man he and neighbors believe to be responsible for thefts from their yards. He writes:
Attached is an image of an individual looking through my property and who had stolen a wagon that belonged to my tenant. The wagon is a low dollar item but with the increase of crimes in sheepshead bay I wanted to see if we can share the photo with other sheepshead bite readers to make them aware of this individual.
Zaed said the police have been informed, a report filed. If you recognize the person in the image, police told Zaed’s tenant, call the 61st Precinct directly at (718) 627-6611.

The suspects were captured by surveillance video at the Avenue U Telco.
Officers from the 61st Precinct are turning to the public in their search for two women accused of stealing another woman’s wallet in Telco Discount Store.
The women were caught on surveillance cameras in the 2901 Avenue U store, where they’re believed to have attempted to steal another woman’s wallet. Police told News 12 that the women grabbed the wallet from the woman’s purse and then pushed her into a clothing rack.
The incident happened on March 22. The would-be thieves dropped the wallet in the store during their getaway, and it was later recovered.
The women bare a striking resemblance to two members of a crew of alleged wallet thieves who hit other local clothing stores last year. At that time, the police distributed photos from surveillance video, saying that the thieves had hit stores including the Sheepshead Bay Marshalls (1623 Avenue Y), the Kings Highway T.J. Maxx (1630 East 15th Street), and the Kohl’s at Ceasar’s Bay, swiping wallets and credit cards from unattended purses. They had been connected to at least four incidents between July and August 2013.
Police at the 61st Precinct did not return calls from Sheepshead Bites regarding a connection between the cases.
During the precinct Community Council meetings, Captain John Chell has repeatedly told residents over the past year that wallet theft from unattended purses and bags in department stores and at beaches continues to be a problem, and has reminded them to keep their property in sight at all times.
If you have information regarding these crimes or suspects, please call the 61st Precinct Detective Squad at (718) 627-6620 or the 61st Precinct at (718) 627-6611.
The spree took place on Monday, March 17, between 7:25 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. The villain chatted up an 11-year-old girl on West 9th Street and Avenue O before flashing his genitals and running off.
Minutes later he turned up on West 7th Street and Bay Parkway and followed a 14-year-old girl into an apartment building, and exposed himself again. Finally, he approached a 13-year-old girl on West 6th Street and 65th Street and again provided a generous but unwanted view of his privates.
Apparently, that wasn’t all. Brooklyn Daily is reporting that police believe the same man flashed a group of 13-year-old girls on the corner of East 24th Street and Gravesend Neck Road on March 11. There is a heavily used playground at that intersection, and an elementary school a block away. The outlet reports that the girls approached the intersection when they came into view of the suspect in the pickup truck, sitting with genitals in public view.
The suspect is charged with burglary, public lewdness, exposure of person and acting in a manner injurious to a minor.

It must be hard to be a pervert these days. There you are, just trying to show one lucky lady your junk in the privacy of a public place and – blam – someone’s got to snap a cell phone photo.
That’s what happened to one poor soul on Saturday. He thought he was having a private, intimate moment on the Q train at Stillwell Avenue with a 21-year-old woman he’s never met before and who showed no inclination to meeting him. Then he did what all gentlemen do and whipped it out to say hello.
And can you believe it? She had the nerve to take a photo!
Kids these days. And this kid then shared with police. Now the police want to get to know the man a little bit.
See? Whipping it out is a surefire way of bringing people together.
