What? Another week with no service adjustments on the B line? And just minimal ones on the Q and F lines? Wowzer, maybe I didn’t see the pigs flying through all the fog over the weekend.

A messy ride for nighttime Q train riders, as well as F train riders in general. The B train riders are making them look like chumps, having no service disruptions at all. Here are this week’s subway service advisories.
Q LINE
During the day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, there will be no Q trains between 57 St-7 Av and Ditmars Blvd. Take the N instead.
Night time riders have it a little harder – again. From 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday to Friday, Q service operates in two sections:
F LINE
The F skips a whole bunch o’ stops this week.
From 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Coney Island-bound F trains skip Sutphin Blvd, Van Wyck Blvd, and 75 Av.
From 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday to Friday, 179 St-bound F trains run express from W 4 St to 34 St-Herald Sq.
From 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday to Friday, 179 St-bound F trains skip 75 Av, Van Wyck Blvd, and Sutphin Blvd.
Finally, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday to Friday, Coney Island-bound F trains run local from 71 Av to 21 St-Queensbridge.

Some good new for B and Q line riders: the rest of the week should be clear of any planned service interruptions or delays. Late-night F riders do have to be mindful of a few alterations.

Well, if there is one redeeming quality about this very ‘blah’ rainy day, it’s that B train service remains uninterrupted all week long, and that’s good news for those of you who don’t need to get off at local stops such as Avenue H or Coretelyou Road.
As for the Q and F trains… well, in the parlance of our times: S.D.D.D.
Q TRAIN
Starting tonight, from 11:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday, April 29 to May 3, Q train service will be operating in two sections:
To continue your trip, transfer via passageway at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.
F TRAIN
Effective as of last week, F train service has been restored at Smith-9th streets in both directions.
From 11:45 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday, April 29 to May 3,179th Street-bound F trains will be running express from West 4th Street to 34th Street-Herald Square.
This service change affects one or more ADA accessible stations. Call 511 for help with planning your trip. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, use your preferred relay service provider or the free 711 relay. For more information, click on the mta.info link and read station signs.

Ohmuhgawd! No Q service issues this weekend! Clear sailing for commuters! Oh, hey, what’s that? Detroit froze over as a pig flew by? Weird.
Anyway, F train riders have some good news, too, but it’s tempered a bit by some bad (but not too bad) news. Here you go:
F LINE
Here’s the good news, in the MTA’s own tone-deaf words: “Effective 11 AM, Friday, April 26, 2013, F train is service restored at Smith-9 Sts in both directions.” Woohoo.
Now the bad news: Beginning 11:15 p.m. Friday and lasting all the way ’til 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound F trains are rerouted via the M after 36 St, Queens to 47-50 Sts. Meanwhile, Coney Island-bound F trains are rerouted via the A from W 4 St to Jay St-MetroTech.

An easy week of commuting for those who work a regular 9-to-5, but the trip gets a little trickier for late night riders of the Q. Meanwhile, the F is going same-ol’-same-ol’.

Sometime this week, F trains will begin stopping at Smith-9 Sts – but as of right now the MTA hasn’t said exactly when. So, for now, figure that the F trains won’t be stopping there until it’s been confirmed.
