Taking public transit this Christmas? Make sure you account for the following change:

  • Buses and trains run on a Saturday schedule on Christmas Eve. Reduced hours will be enacted for December 25. On December 26, trains will run on a Sunday schedule.

If you’re driving, alternate side parking rules and parking meters are suspended on Tuesday, December 25. Stopping, standing, and parking, is permitted, except in areas where these rules are in effect seven days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).

Visit the MTA’s website [2] or the alternate side suspension calendar [3] for more information.
