Two exciting, stimulating events involving the youth and elderly of the Marine Park community, will be held back-to-back tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday June 5, beginning at 1 p.m. in Marine Park.
The first event, which will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., is a concert in the park. All senior citizens are invited to join together and enjoy an afternoon of music. At this event, refreshments and seating will be provided to all of those who wish to join.
Forty-five minutes later, the 9th Annual Marine Park Community Youth Showcase will begin, and run until 8 p.m. The showcase will feature performances by local schools, martial arts teams, and after schools programs. Come enjoy and appreciate the talent of the next generation of the Marine Park Community! All those who attend should please bring a chair and blanket.
The events are scheduled to take place in the park, off Fillmore Avenue and Marine Parkway, weather permitting. In case of rain, they will be relocated to the auditorium of I.S. 278, located at 1925 Stuart St. between Fillmore Avenue and Avenue S.
Both events are brought to the community by Councilman Lew Fidler.
