Cell Phone Thieves Hit Southern Brooklyn Stores

The New York City Police Department is searching for thieves who’ve been targeting cell phone stores in Southern Brooklyn.

The men in the above surveillance photos burglarized 10 stores in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Bensonhurst, Sunset Park and Brighton Beach – taking up to a dozen cell phones at a time. The crimes occured over the last month and half, and the thieves also stole a laptop from one of the stores.

The suspects are described as between 18 and 20 years old, around 5 foot 8, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds.

    oh shit! the dude with stripe shirt was trying to steal food at 7/11 on kings highway yesterday! the owner caught him but when he tried to get the “sandwich” back the dude started threatening him so the owner called 911 to report him! 10 min later the cops came and spoke to the guy told him to never come back…

    Hrm. The guy and girl on the top right (where the shot is taken from the same camera), they look very familiar to me. I might have driven them from the Sheepshead Projects before but considering how many people I drive I couldn’t be sure.
