Sign Of, For & Against Disrespectful Slobs

The message on this sign addresses what seems to be a growing problem all around Sheepshead Bay: trash left in front of residences by its very own residents.

In case the ALL CAPS message is too ‘loud’ to read, here’s the full text:

To those leaving their coffee cups, cigarette packs, & other trash next to lobby window stop it.

You might find your trash left by your apt. door & the management & all tenants made aware of what disrespectful slobs you are. As adults you should know better.

    The character and type of the people who drink this crap may be indicative as to why. It goes to show that people who have this kind of money for this have less couth than those they look down upon living in poverty.

    Sometimes when walking on Sheepshead Bay Rd. I feel like
    I am living inside a garbage dump – what a shameful reflection
    on our culture and what we teach our children.

    Sounds like they are going to be putting a camera up so they can catch the offenders. Maybe they could put the pertinent clips up on You-Tube for the whole world to see.

    three years ago, i saw a sign in downtown brooklyn sending a warning message to an “asshole” who was repeatedly breaking into a building and stealing the locks.
