I’m so happy for the return of beautiful weather. In Sheepshead Bay, that invariably means walks on any of the four local beaches, and watching a sunset to the west. It means strolls along the marina, or having a cold beer on a cafe with sidewalk seating. It means Littlenecks at Randazzos, feeding the swans, the smell of BBQs, the murmurs of nearby block parties.
Michael Comeau of Bay Ridge (currently living in Sunset Park) snagged this great shot the other day that I think capture the warmth of relaxing evenings to come. Kudos to him.
What are you looking forward to about warm weather in Sheepshead Bay?

I went to Kouras Diner and was very dissappointed.Although the decorations were beautiful and seating comfortable the food was greasy and first raw and then burnt.Giant televisions in every room was horrible.Noone wants to go on date or out with family and friends and have this disturb them, noone!!When I was there there were 6 employees yelling in spanish under tv and it was so loud I thought it was a spanish channel.I left with blinding headache. It was a major dissappointment to me.Those tv have gotta go!!New cooks needed also.Greasy Food out!!

I'm sorry but what does this post have to do with the Korous Diner?
That picture is beautiful. Warm weather in SB means bike rides along Emmons ave then along the bike path by the parkway and across the bridge to Fort Tilden. I then undo all the positive affects of that wonderful exercise and chow down on a Breezy Dog from the truck that's parked by the fire house.
I think it's just a competitor out to slander another, since the post has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand…
I hope the bike path can get some repairs done by the late Spring at least
Personally, I can't wait until Grillin' On The Bay and the Brooklyn Chili Smackdown. 28 teams of bbq cooks have signed on. 20 teams of Chili and for the first time a carft fair inside the gym.
RUB BBQ of Manhattan will be selling their award winning barbecue at the event. A good time is guaranteed for all.
Of course I'm biased, but I believe this to be true!
I'm looking forward to bike riding.
By the way, this is a gorgeous photograph. Thanks, Michael.
Look forward to taking off 10 layers of clothing.
I hope to snap some pics… and not mess up my camera with sauces (if at all possible)
