• Brennan & Carr Considering Expansion?

    Brennan & Carr (3432 Nostrand Avenue) seem to really love their Facebook page, using it to connect with fans and pump up the rivalry with Roll-N-Roaster. Now, they’re musing on a second location. They asked, “If another B&C was to open up, where would an ideal location be?”

    Here’s a screenshot of the status update:

    Seems like they’re looking to expand and open a new location outside Sheepshead Bay. A lot of commenters begged for an opening on Long Island or Staten Island, where the residents of Sheepshead past have moved to. A number of them are also saying Florida. As for us, we want to see it across the street from Roll-N-Roaster. That’d really throw some beef on the simmering feud.

    But wait, don’t get too excited. We called Brennan & Carr and an employee there told us they have no plans for such an expansion. Despite the extreme popularity of their Facebook page, and the professional feel of it, they told us they have no affiliation with the page and don’t know who runs it. But can’t a boy dream?

    If Brennan & Carr opens a second location, where do you think it should be? Should it be nearby, or far away? How about a small location at Coney Island? Maybe a swanky new pad in Park Slope? The city? Out of state even? Let your voice be heard!

        I could be wrong. Maybe its still open. I have NO clue. Anybody ever been to Brennan & Carr in Rockville Centre???

      With all the food options between Flatbush Ave and Prospect Ave on 5th, 6th, and 7th Ave's a Brennan and Carr expansion makes perfect sense there.

        Brennan and Carr would do well in Park Slope. But it would be an expensive startup, I think.

      Am I the only one who doesn't like that place? Went a few times, seemed dirty, even smelled sour or honestly a bit like a bathroom needed cleaning…and just couldn't go back again, not after the bathroom stench. Maybe it is ok now?

        ann,my darling,you stand correct i only stop in for 1 or 2 beers (when iam drunk,never order and i never use restroom.i saw women exit the mens room and men exit the womens room.

          If the bathrooms are single occupant bathrooms, then the sign on the door is irrelevant unless there’s already a line. No reason I should wait on line for a bathroom if there is a perfectly good one not being used right next door just because the sign says women’s instead of men’s.

      The secret is to order at the window to go. Don't bother eating inside, don't bother ordering anything else from the menu. The only thing worth eating is the Roast Beef Sandwich (with or without cheese based on personal preference of course). I prefer getting it with double cheese and letting it sit wrapped tightly in the foil for a few minutes to let the cheese melt.

      I ate there a few times. The menu was basically the same with some extras not found at the Brooklyn location. I tried to have lunch there a few months ago and it appeared closed down.

        george must be rolling in his grave, because the old man would never have put that on the menu. going to B&C 30 yrs and counting,trust me what i say!!!!

      brennan and carr should not open a second location any where. the prices went  and the quality went down. hamburger 4.75- a mcdonald 99 cent double cheeseburger off the dollar menu is ten times better. dont get me, i seen it decline first hand i been going there  (brennans) 30 yrs. son doesnt  run it like the old man did back in the day
