		<description>That&#039;s where the turnover for the LIRR railroad used to be. Perhaps some in the NYCTA property division had a soft spot for that and decided not to put that parcel up for sale. As the old LIRR Neck Road Station was left undeveloped for more than 80 years after the last train went through it.</description>

		<description>Yeah my feeling is that these bamboos were started by the homeowner next door.  One time a car drove straight into that fence.  I wonder why there is an empty lot there, but not in the same spot on Ave W.</description>

		<description>Maybe someone should plant bamboo in the eyesore (empty lot) on the corner of East 16th Street and Avenue Z.

		<description>It used to be a mini farm of vegetables AND bamboo tended to by the asian gentleman who lived in the house to the left of the lot.
I&#039;m not sure if he &#039;s still there or if the bamboo just took over the entire lot.
And yes it does look much better than tires and garbage.</description>
