Wow!!! I didn’t know the condo got that much interest and we just put it on the market. Thank you for all the free advertising.
We had another condo complex for sale about 5 years back on 86th street and west 6th. everybody was saying exactly the same thing: Marlboro projects, who is going to live there… The condos sold out. And you know who is living there? People.
The guy who wrote the article seems really bitter. What bit him in the ass? Maybe he can’t afford a condo?
Anyway, the condos are really beautiful, the layouts are great and the quality is excellent. Will they sell? Only time will tell.

Funny, I figured it was terraces being perched across busy 86th Street from crowded-at-all-hours Spumoni Gardens that would have made those units unattractive… Maybe there’s a niche square slice-lover the developer can tap into?

What don’t you get? This is the 1st step of Gentrification… Who ever moves into those condos are the pioneers of the neighborhood… Has anyone realized that C.I. is going to get a major overhaul very very soon… And the point of this building is that they’re going to revitalize the entire surrounding neighborhood(s) not make it like Atlantic City where its Casinos/Hotels then the projects… Coney’s comin back and when its all said and done anything near it is going to be big time money… As for the 4 thousand residents in the Marlboro houses they’re going to be forced to move out when they can’t afford rent anymore… Wait and see

In New York City, it’s the nature of the beast that all sorts of neighborhoods and building are intermingled. There is just so much space and we all want to live in/on a piece of it, so why not a condo near public housing?

maybe it’s good these lux. condos moved by the Marlboro projects. I can totally see both sides inviting each other to tupperware parties and borrowing each other’s sugar.
