Mike (the owner) used to use my car service every day to go the old location. I havn’t driven him in a few months though. He was a nice guy.

What a shame, I only got to go in there a few times. Maybe it wasn’t the ideal location for a cafe, but it was the closest place to me I could get pastries…

I stand corrected. I only went by every couple of days, but ever ytime I went by it was closed. He lost my business too, as I assumed it was already out of business.

BrooklynQ: It wasn’t shut down, he just started taking odd hours. I walk by very frequently, and sometimes he was there and the place looked open – other times he wasn’t, even if it was during regular business hours. I noticed he had started doing that more than a month ago, and I know he lost out on my business a few times ’cause of it.

This place had been shut down for a few weeks already. It’s such a shame to see such a long term business die out, but the new location just wasn’t right for a cafe. They needed to be i the heart of the bay with lots of foot traffic. Maybe they can take over the old New Clements space on Sheepshead Bay Road.
