Shopping Cart Series: Cart Finds Parking Spot

Whew! I can’t believe I found a parking spot on alternate side of the street parking day. Things are getting tougher round here with all the abandoned carts vying for prime parking and, in this economy, I can’t afford to pay for a private spot.

Well, with so many holidays coming up and alternate side suspensions, at least I won’t have to worry too much about rolling around aimlessly while the non-existent street cleaning truck passes by.

    I know that Stop and Shop sent the police over to a store that stole several dozen carts. That would be be a felony charge.

    This shopping cart series has really grown on me. When I was out shopping last weekend, there was a gathering of four carts in a parking lot, not lined up, but like in a crowd all facing each other, and I caught myself thinking “I wonder what they would be talking about”. :-) Wish I had a camera for Ray to fill in the blanks on that one!

    This shopping cart series has really grown on me.     They probably gossip about the customers. Carts learn about them, especially since so many are glued to their cell phone these days.

    Gene…How many carts can gather before a permit is required?
    Were there any signs of drugs or alcohol?
    Did you notice if they left behind any suspicious packages.
    I hope it was just a peaceful gathering and not an illegal
    act being developed.
    These carts can be deceptive you know, as there are
    a few bad apple carts in the area.
