		<description>Interesting, I was shooting there today. It was a co-incidence, as I haven&#039;t looked at this site until now. But I noticed the storefront next to what used to be a used car lot was vacant, and I can&#039;t help but wonder whether that building too will be demolished. I suspect that these buildings date from the tuen of the last century, at which time Sheepshead Bay Road from Avenue Z east and south was called Shore Road. Don&#039;t ask me why, it was Sheepshead Bay Road previous to that time, and after a short period the name was restored.

It&#039;s possible that photos of this stretch from around 1910 exist, and perhaps have even been published somewhere. Some of the buildings on that block may still look much the same.
