City Marshals Shut Down D & J Elite Boutique

October 1, 2009 turned out to be the last business day for D & J Elite Boutique located next to the VIP Illusion Beauty Salon on Avenue Z (between East 16th Street and East 17th Street).

New York City Marshals enforcing the law told us that the tenants did not pay their rent.

For everyone who liked to shop at the boutique, you will have to head to Sheepshead Bay Road or Avenue U for your Beverly Hills-priced designer (who-would) wear (that?).

    In one of their previous incarnations they actually sold reasonably priced clothing. Maybe they should have stayed with that.

    I’m sure overpriced ritzy clothes can be bought online but that would defeat the purpose of being seen inside an overpriced ritzy store.

    Actually, it’s the shopping experience that is the thing.
