I have a feeling you are the owner of the day care or closely related to them. As only yesterday in court all those things were mentioned and now today the first thing in the morning you are writing about the positive side. No, we quit this awful place just like other 6 kids din in mid-December and now we are suing them in small court as a group claim. I hope you won't end up like we did as by the time you realize how much your kid lost in weight and how many times he/she gets sick and decide to change daycare, they will sue you for not following their falsified contract you signed for monthly payments and they introduce it in court as a yearly contract.

Guess what! I sued them for a refund for not attended days in December and a breach of contract when a number of parents left their day care in mid-December for a huge number of reasons. We filed a group claim with the reports from the Department of Health, medical records, their falsified financial records and contracts, a number of written statements from the parents who left their daycare, and a few witnesses ready to testify. After showing up in a small court on February 3, Borya (the owner) with a lawyer (ha-ha-ha, so they had to get one finally) had nothing better to come up with than a counterclaim for signing a contract with them for 10 months and now breaking this contract. I guess their lawyer is smart enough to make their bill look really nice as the more mess she creates with this counterclaim, the more time and money she’ll get from them. They already lost two hours of lawyer’s fees yesterday. And it’s just the beginning! So many more hours and witnesses to come!!! They are so stupid even to bring up their fake contract in court. Well, let’s screw them – all the people who signed those contract, look RIGHT NOW what you have signed and be aware that they will do the same to you when you stop attending their day care if you keep silent and don’t ask them questions.

Dear Crazymom,

I am really confused about your comments. Does your child still attend the daycare? My personal experiences are far different from the ones you describe.
I do have an older child that goes there as well and he tells me everyday what they are fed. He always tells me that they serve a hot side dish like, mashed potatoes, rice or macaroni, and a main dish like cutlets, chiken, or hot dogs.
Soup is only what they serve before bed time.
Additionally, the daycare held a PTA meeting for all parents to attend which is the only daycare I know of that did this. There, they welcomed parents to come during mealtimes to see what there children were earting. Also, they have a menu posted weekly in their main lobby.
I am just wondering why we have such different outlooks on the same daycare???

I'm new to this site and noticed this posting and many comments. I am a Sheepshead Bayparent and am starting to research day cares in the area for my child, now 18 months we have a babysitter but are looking into daycares for the near-term future. I'm sure alot of you have some recommendations and experiences with this namely Mike from what I read below. If you could please contact me and le me know your thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.
I, like many others, just want a safe, healthy environment for my child to thrive in.

Both Ira and Boris are very rude to parents. They are very sweet when they advertise and change their tones when parents already bring their kid there. On a numerous occasions I was confronted with “what do you want?” straight to my face when I approached the door.
WHAT WITH SUCH A HIGH SECURITY? - I mean all those LOCKED gates and doors outside, at the entrance, and each room? This is just to keep officials and parents outside as much as possible to notify the teachers on walky-talky about the coming unwelcomed guest, and have enough time to straighten everything up. Have you seen so many locked door s and parents waiting outside for 10-15 minutes in any other day care? That’s why when you were sitting in their office and stared at the camera screens, all the teachers were already notified in advance that they are being watched, so of course they would behave!!!

RELATIONSHIPS WITH PARENTS:
I was never clearly answered what my child ate that day and if she did # 2 due to very often cases of constipation because of all the cookies and bad food they serve there. Surprisingly, on the weekend the kid’s #2 was normal!!! The baby never suffered from those problems before this day care and doesn’t have any problems now in the new day care where they really serve home-made fresh food and have menus available for parents.

FOOD QUALITY: what a day care is this if it doesn’t smell home-made food? They never serve fresh vegetables, fruit, or dairy products like cottage cheese or yogurt. As a result, the kids that left this day care in November and December lost 3-5 pounds in 3 months, had major food allergy symptoms, negative blood tests results, weakened immune systems, were sick every other week, and were recommended by the pediatricians to change this day care ASAP. All those kids do not get sick as often as before, gain weight, and thrive as soon as they transferred to other day cares in the neighborhood.
Other MEDICAL SIDE EFFECTS: By the way, there was a case of CHILD ABUSE in October followed up by the DOH investigation and there was another case in November of a child being scared and scolded by the teachers so that the child started peeing and stutter!!!

TELEPHONE CALLS: I was told not to call anymore when my child started a day care there. I called only once a day just to check on my kid. They said they will call me in case of something. And yes, they called me once after that to say that the kid ate and was OK, but that’s it. All my further calls were disregarded.

MEALS: My baby is not a good eater and chewer and I asked if I should bring my own food to co-feed. I was told not to. Irina said, “Our kids are never hungry, we always have juice and cookies.” And that exactly what they feed the kids there all day long to keep them fool – cookies! You can say it by the kid’s poop!!!
