Lost & Found: Passed Out, Lost Laptop

lost laptop passed out 1cThis curiously-worded sign was seen posted, recently, at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Avenue Z.

It’s sad that someone passed out and lost their laptop. But, what would be even sadder is if someone found the said laptop and is unable to return it, because there is no contact information listed for the owner.

If the poor soul who lost the laptop and the good Samaritan who found the laptop need a place to communicate, Sheepshead Bites is here. Or if there are any witnesses who know what happened, you can write in, too.

    Well that has to be the most poorly written sign I’ve ever seen, although I can certainly empathize with the person’s loss. I remember the old days when losing one’s wallet was bad enough. Who knows what kind of valuable electronic information has fallen into the wrong hands via this “lost laptop?”

    Hopefully, somebody will turn in the computer to Sheepshead Bites who can then return it to the rightful owner. Don’t forget to properly identify the claimant, Ray. I suggest a handwriting test to see if their poor handwriting and grammar matches the sign on the mailbox. You might also want to suggest that passing out in the street is a problem which might need addressing.
