When I was growing up in Brooklyn, many moons ago, there used to be the guys that rolled around the big Sabrett's hot dog carts. Apparently, the frankfurter biz was pretty cutthroat and competitive with all these guys vying for Brooklyn's hot-spots. They used to stake out their territory in the wee hours and set up shop like prostitutes in the night. I guess the vendor had to be well-situated when the prime snausage eating hours rolled around or they wouldn't make into Hot Dog Heaven. My guy's name was Dave DaHotDogGuy. He used to park his meat wagon between Shellbank and Sheepshead High every day, undoubtedly raking in some serious sauerkraut.

I'm not sure how this this new-fangled food cart is different other than that it's open all night and is the size of a small van. Wait a minute! Chicken? Lamb? Rice? Hey, that sounds pretty good. Thanks for the tip, Ray. I'll meet you at the meat mobile!

I also noticed the same type of cart on the corner of Ave U and E16 St by the TD Bank. Usually I don't trust street food vendors, but their food does smell pretty good.

I've been there twice at night during the last two weeks and the food is tasty, cheap and fast. The operator has been very friendly. I for one don't mind it, and I'm close enough to see if from my house. People will complain about it though, but then again some people just want to complain about everything.
