bolshevik criminal plague graffiti

These signs were seen painted onto lamp post bases in Sheepshead Bay, recently.

The message, stenciled on in the bright yellow and red paint, says “23 Bolshevik Criminal Plague”. This might as well be a message in another language, because the message is completely a mystery. It’s not clear whether the word “ELMSEEE” is part of the message, since it appears only on one post.

The lamp post on the left was seen in front of the construction scaffolding at 1702 Avenue Z. The lamp post on the right was seen on Sheepshead Bay Road near Jerome Avenue.

Does anyone know what is behind this graffiti? Please write in and let us know.

all of this stencil nonsence are all copycats of someone that popped up on hundreds of lightposts around sheepshead last year that goes by the name C3.

i doubt there is a gang relation but just more of a sense of fame these kids think they get.

lets work on bringing c3 to justice first because of his new stencil style tag he is bringing such copycats as this, plus i see this junk almost every day as far as my job in rockaway

I never thought I'd say this, but I wish this is nothing but an advertisement for a nightclub! Anything is better than gangs!

we need some gangs in sheepshead bay. too boring here.
  • Might just be typical excess summer energy. (Though with the weather we are having it certainly doesn't feel much like summer) Let's hope that its not a real gang. If it is, its not going to be good for businesses that stay open late on Sheepshead Bay Road.

"23 Bolshevik Criminal Plague"? I hate to say it, but that sounds like a gang tag painted on the lamp posts. Hopefully, the police have their ear to the streets for gang activity attached to that name.
