When did this Medieval-style fortress house get built on the corner of Voorhies Avenue and East 21 Street?

The front of the house doesn’t seem to have any windows to open, but the side of the house makes up for it. It can’t be as Medieval as it looks, though, with two satellite dishes installed on the side.

it has been there for at least 2 years if not more, also notice multiple surveillance cameras on each side.

It looks a lot older than 2 years. I, personally, like the little balcony/terrace thing (under the satellite dishes). Surveillance cameras, huh? I wonder what’s really in this building. Who wants to knock on Boo Radley’s door?

I had to look up Boo Radley. Turns out he’s a character in To Kill a Mockingbird. I guess that old classic wasn’t on my teachers’ curriculum in grade school.
For those of us who like to learn something new every day, here is a little blurb from SparkNotes:
Arthur “Boo” Radley – A recluse who never sets foot outside his house, Boo dominates the imaginations of Jem, Scout, and Dill. He is a powerful symbol of goodness swathed in an initial shroud of creepiness, leaving little presents for Scout and Jem and emerging at an opportune moment to save the children. An intelligent child emotionally damaged by his cruel father, Boo provides an example of the threat that evil poses to innocence and goodness. He is one of the novel’s “mockingbirds,” a good person injured by the evil of mankind.

There was a rather nice and interesting looking house here before this one went up. Probably from around 1900. I wonder if I have a photograph of it somewhere.

Across the street are some fine examples of what Voorhies Avenue looked like when it was Millionaires Row.
