A few weeks ago we reported on the Nerd Herd, a team of St. Edmund kids who conquered a city robotics challenge and were raising money to head to the national competition in Atlanta.
Well $17,000 and 850 miles later, the group went head to head with 82 other teams this weekend. While they didn’t win – the top slot went to a far less cool Michigan team – the Nerd Herd scored high for robot design and was singled out for superior team work.
Great job, guys. You’ve made Sheepshead Bay proud.
