Earlier this month, we posted a picture of a jacket discarded on sidewalk on East 17 St. Right around that time, there was also a jacket in the garbage can on Sheepshead Bay Road in front of the Citibank at East 16 St.

This jacket was cut, then discarded right next to what seemed like a tube of Crest toothpaste. It all seemed so strange and it had us curious as to why the owner threw it out like this, since Spring had not quite sprung and it was still cold out.

Anyone out there wondering what happened to their leather coat?

Ray, I know the economy is getting bad — but maybe you should stay out of the garbage. Or is the big Sheepshead Bites bucks just not enough to stay afloat in this harsh and terrible world? ;)

Hey, I just noticed this jacket was only the bottom half. That makes it even stranger.
