I don’t always get to tell you about the Brownstoner’s top sales listings, but this one is a must!

A Breakers condo made number three on the top-selling real estate list on the Brownstoner, last week.

SHEEPSHEAD BAY $1,303,360
3112 Emmons Avenue, Unit 1
Condo plus parking spot in The Breakers development. Entered into contract on 8/6/08; closed on 2/11/09; deed recorded on 2/25/09.

Sheepshead Bay’s waterfront property, The Breakers, has sold one unit for close to $1.5 million. The unit is identified as Unit 1, but information on PropertyShark doesn’t allow for detailed information on individual condos. Based on information at Wilk Real Estate‘s website, the unit is probably 2 or more bedrooms.

You can check out Ned’s article from last summer about the Stolen View from The Breakers.

Is that Ikea furniture in the model apartment?

Wow, someone be stylin’ in that crib! I’m lovin’ those hardwood floors and the inset lighting. This is a nice joint by all accounts… but $1.5 million? The unit must come with a complimentary wife and kids. Sounds like someone got a hot tip at the track.

I love the way model units are always professionally decorated and furnished. This place has an amazing ultra-modern look with that chic table and retro chairs. The layout looks straight out of a decorating mag.

Hopefully somebody with good taste bought Unit 1. I’d hate to see such a snazzy pad adorned with tacky furniture constructed from salvaged auto parts and plastic pink flamingos on the front lawn. Not that I’d every be invited inside to find out. I guess I’ll have to rely on Sheepshead Bites to do an investigative report on the new “neighbors.”

Its business and that of its competitors–which is largely based on advertising and lead generation–has been growing quickly, despite http://www.zillow.com the economic downturn in housing.
